Simon Quick Advisors has hired Justin A. Duke, CFA, as managing director and client advisor in its Dallas office, expanding the independent wealth management firm's advisory team as it builds its presence in the North Texas market. Duke brings nearly 25 years of wealth management experience and joins Simon Quick from BNY Wealth, where he served as a team leader in the Dallas office. His career also includes positions at Northern Trust and Regions Bank. At Simon Quick, Duke will advise high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners, including clients navigating liquidity events and other complex financial decisions. He joins a Dallas team that includes Nate Ohlinger, Shei Unger, Ryan Moffett, Gregory Chappell and Christian Yoss. The appointment adds an experienced local advisor to Simon Quick as the employee-owned firm competes for clients and advisory talent in Dallas, a market that has attracted growing numbers of entrepreneurs, corporate executives and wealthy families. 'Justin's decision to join us reflects exactly what continues to set Simon Quick apart: independence, employee ownership, and the resources to serve sophisticated clients without compromise,' said Christopher Moore, managing partner at Simon Quick Advisors. 'He brings exactly the experience and character we need to expand our presence in Dallas.' Duke has worked throughout his career with clients whose financial requirements can extend beyond portfolio management. Entrepreneurs and business owners approaching a company sale or other liquidity event may need coordinated planning around investments, taxes, estate structures, cash management and the transition from concentrated business ownership to a diversified personal balance sheet. That type of client is a natural target for a multi-family office model, where advisors can coordinate investment management with broader financial planning rather than treating individual products or transactions separately. Duke said Simon Quick's independent structure and available resources were factors in his decision to join the firm. 'Simon Quick gave me something I didn't think was possible: the resources and capabilities to serve clients at the highest level, without the constraints I'd grown used to,' Duke said. 'Being independent and employee-owned isn't just a talking point here; it shapes how the firm actually operates and who it can serve.' His move also reflects continued competition between independent registered investment advisors and larger banks and wirehouses for experienced wealth management professionals. Simon Quick cited Cerulli Associates data showing independent and hybrid RIAs have recorded annualized growth rates exceeding 10% during the past decade and now manage more than one-quarter of industry assets. For established advisors, independent firms can provide greater flexibility over portfolio construction, technology, client service and the range of outside providers used to address complex financial needs. For firms such as Simon Quick, recruiting advisors with established market experience provides a way to increase local capacity while extending the firm's broader investment and family-office capabilities into additional client relationships. Simon Quick was founded in 2004 and has grown to $11.9 billion in assets under advisement as of June 30, 2026, including $9.9 billion in assets under management. The firm serves more than 700 client relationships and reports an advisor-to-client ratio of 1:29. Its service model is built around team-based advice for high-net-worth individuals and families, combining investment management with the broader planning requirements associated with significant and often multigenerational wealth. Dallas represents one part of a wider geographic footprint for the Morristown, New Jersey-headquartered firm. Simon Quick also operates offices in New York City; Garden City, New York; Denver; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Dallas. The addition of Duke increases the depth of the Dallas team without changing the firm's underlying advisory model. His experience serving entrepreneurs, business owners and families through significant financial transitions aligns with the type of complex client relationships Simon Quick is targeting as it expands in the region. For Simon Quick, the Dallas buildout provides another channel for growing assets and client relationships while retaining a relatively high-touch advisory structure. Duke's appointment gives the firm a veteran wealth manager with established experience in the local market as it works to capture a larger share of the region's expanding high-net-worth and multigenerational wealth base.
