The selected researcher will use System Dynamics simulation modelling to study important transitions in children's lives. These include moving from hospital care back home, entering school, and moving from primary to secondary education. The research will examine how different services interact and identify factors that can improve support for children and their families. About the SPROCKET Hub The research forms part of the SPROCKET Hub, which focuses on Systems and Process Redesign and Optimization at Childhood Key Events and Transitions. The hub brings together specialists from different fields, including operational research, systems thinking, health services research, clinical paediatrics, education, implementation science, disability interventions and family experience. The project therefore offers the selected PhD student an opportunity to work across several disciplines.
