CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (WNYT) — A teen is accused of attacking an older person in Clifton Park, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said deputies responded to an assault call Aug. 23 in Clifton Park. The investigation led to the arrest of a minor on a charge of second-degree assault.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the teen is accused of intentionally causing physical injury to a person who was 65 years of age or older while being more than 10 years younger than the victim. The teen, whose name is not being released because of their age, allegedly struck the victim with an open hand to the head, face, neck and shoulders, causing the victim to fall to the ground several times.
The minor was released to a third party pending proceedings in Saratoga County Family Court, according to the Sheriff's Office.
