Peel police seek man after motorist stabbed in carjacking attempt in Brampton

Police are looking for a man after a motorist was stabbed during a carjacking attempt in Brampton. The incident took place near Clockwork Drive and Creditview Road at about 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6. The victim was taken to a trauma centre for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. According to Peel Regional Police, the suspect fled on foot and went to a nearby home where he kicked in the front door and demanded vehicle keys. 'He was unsuccessful and fled the residence,' police said in a Sept. 7 news release. 'The suspect then attempted to carjack two additional vehicles in the area without success before fleeing on foot.' Police describe the suspect as 25 to 30 years old, with a slim build and a possible tattoo on his neck. He was wearing a grey sweater, light-coloured pants, black Crocs, a blue and white Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap and a black messenger-style bag over his shoulder. 'The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, members of the public are advised not to approach him and to call 911 immediately,' said police in the release, which also contained surveillance camera images of the suspect.
