Siddikur wins 2nd CAS Cup Professional Golf Tournament 2026

Featured TheGolfHouse September 8, 2026 Bangladesh's leading golfer Mohammad Siddikur Rahman clinched the 2nd CAS Cup Professional Golf Tournament 2026 after producing an impressive 14-under-par performance at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka. The three-day tournament, held from September 6 to 8, brought together professional and amateur golfers in a competitive showcase organised by the Bangladesh Professional Golfers' Association (BPGA). Siddikur demonstrated his experience and consistency throughout the tournament to finish five shots clear of Mohammad Akbar Hossain, who claimed the runner-up position with a nine-under-par total. In the amateur category, Mohammad Sharif Hossain emerged champion after completing the tournament at four-over-par. Chief of Army Staff and Bangladesh Golf Federation President General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the closing and prize-giving ceremony as chief guest. He presented trophies and prizes to the winners and leading performers. Quartermaster General of the Bangladesh Army and Senior Vice-President of the Bangladesh Golf Federation Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque was also present at the ceremony. Among others, BPGA President Mohammad Eunus, BPGA General Secretary Sifat Ahmed Chowdhury, Bangladesh Golf Federation General Secretary Brigadier General Mohammad Jubaer Salehin, Kurmitola Golf Club officials, participating golfers and invited guests attended the programme. The tournament offered the country's professional golfers an important competitive platform while also giving amateur players an opportunity to test their skills in a high-level environment. The event concluded with the prize-giving ceremony, recognising the performances of the winners and reaffirming efforts to promote professional golf in Bangladesh.
