AUG. 31 • 12:32 a.m., EMS assist • 11:45 a.m., responded to an animal bite complaint and issued an animal quarantine order to the owner. • 7:46 p.m., verbal traffic warning: excess speed • 8:32 p.m., vehicle equipment correction order: non-functioning headlight. • 10:20 p.m., vehicle equipment correction order: non-functioning headlight. SEPT. 1 • 9:50 a.m., a concerned resident reported there seemed to be an increase of children pedestrians who are crossing South Argyle Avenue at Walnut Street, and out of a concern for safety suggested that signage be placed to caution motorists. The officer referred the request to the city Department of Public Works . • 9:58 a.m., a keep-the-peace request for a child custody exchange. • 3:34 p.m., responded with Phillips Fire Department to a vehicle fire involving a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 at Phillips Public High School parking lot. • 3:34 p.m., verbal traffic warning: excess speed • 4:13 p.m., lost/found property - notebook at North Lake Avenue and Trinity Drive. • 4:44 p.m., accidental 911 call • 6:21 p.m., mental health call resulting in an emergency detention at the request of Price County Human Services for transport for further medical clearance and treatment by law enforcement. SEPT. 2 • 2:42 p.m., a house watch request. • 4:46 p.m., notified Price County Highway Department and Phillips Department of Public Works regarding a report of two deceased deer near and in the Price County Airport fencing. • assisted a group with accessing a city government building after becoming locked out and the primary key holder was out of the area. • 6:10 p.m., a resident complained of harassing behavior by a person who was shouting at them as they walked by on a public sidewalk. The officer spoke with both parties and warned the offender against continued behavior and asked the caller to report any ongoing offense. SEPT. 3 • 7:02 a.m., EMS assist • 10:45 a.m., EMS assist • 12:08 p.m., a resident of an apartment complex reported an odor of marijuana coming from somewhere in the building. The responding officer did not detect the odor. • 4:53 p.m., a resident complained of a vehicle driving at excess speed in an alleyway and feared for pedestrian or pet safety. • 8:16 p.m., investigating a complaint from the mother of a juvenile who said they were struck in the face by another juvenile while playing football near the city football field while the game was going on. SEPT. 4 • 1:13 a.m., assisted Price County Sheriff's Office with a warrant search of a residence outside of the city. The officers assisted with the search and with clearing the residence. • 7:50 a.m., an officer dispatched a deer that was reported to be injured. • 10:19 a.m., a keep-the-peace request for a child custody exchange. • 1:11 p.m., referred a third party complaint from concerned individuals that a man was being scammed out of money to the Price County Sheriff's Office when it was determined the man lived outside of the city. • 4:01 p.m., an entertainment group reported having lost an envelope of money for performing at the Price County Fair in the event someone found and turned in the money. • 7:59 p.m., a caller requested a housewatch for a residence where the owner had just died. • 10:13 p.m., assisted Price County Sheriff's Office with a complaint of a possible party with underage drinking at a County W residence. Officers patrolled the area, cleared and returned to the city. • 11:17 p.m., assisted Price County Sheriff's Office with a car-deer crash with no injury but airbags deployed at the intersection of Dama Road and Mink Ranch Road. SEPT. 5 • 1:13 a.m., assisted Price County Sheriff's Office with a report that individuals who came to bond another person out of jail had the odor of intoxicants and had departed in a vehicle. The officer did not locate the vehicle. • 10 a.m., a harassment by phone complaint resulted in an officer contacting the caller to advise no further contact. • 11:29 a.m., EMS assist • 11:55 a.m., issued a citation for parking in a no-parking zone on a 2014 Ford Fusion in the 200 block of Maple Street. • 12:16 p.m., an officer signed off on a statement form at the request of the Price County Sheriff's Office. • 12:24 p.m., issued a verbal warning to four ATV/UTV operators who were driving along North Lake Avenue in violation of the city ordinance, and informed them of the legal ATV/UTV routes in the city. • 2:50 p.m., issued a parking citation on a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox for blocking an alleyway in the 100 block of South Lake Avenue. • 6:15 p.m., written traffic warning: excess speed • verbal traffic warning: a stop for operating with a canceled license resulted in the driver not being the registered owner. SEPT. 6 • 1:11 p.m., cleared and secured a business with a reported open door after hours and contacted the primary keyholder. • 1:57 p.m., assisted Park Falls Police Department with contacting a Phillips woman to advise her she was trespassed from a residence. • 2:39 p.m., issued a citation for parking on the wrong side of the road to the operator of a 2001 Polaris UTV.
