Flasher jailed for 10 months over three separate incidents

A man who exposed himself to three victims on separate occasions in Spalding has been jailed. Slavcho Iliev, 34, of Monks Road, Lincoln, pleaded guilty to three counts of intentionally exposing his genitals to cause alarm or distress under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. The incidents took place last year on March 3, 17 and April 18. Lincolnshire Police say the vehicle he was driving was reported to them. Today (Wednesday, September 8) he was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment at Lincoln Crown Court, has been served a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must also sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years. A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: 'This was an excellent example of how Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) officers and CID worked closely behind the scenes, with NPT officers working tirelessly to review and analyse CCTV footage from across the area. 'They linked a number of suspected related incidents and built a comprehensive picture of the suspect's movements and behaviour. 'Drawing on their extensive local knowledge and understanding of crime patterns within the community, officers were able to identify key lines of enquiry and safeguard those potentially at risk. Working closely with local businesses and partners, they tracked the suspect's movements and, when he returned to the county, swiftly detained him before any further offences could be committed.' Detective constable Helen Rochford, said: 'This offender has been brought before the courts because victims had the confidence to report these incidents. 'It is essential that such behaviour is reported so that those responsible can be held accountable and measures can be taken to prevent further offending, helping to keep women and girls safe in our communities. 'We recognise that some may underestimate the impact of this type of offending, but every report matters. 'Details such as when and where the incident occurred, along with descriptions of the suspect and their clothing, and of their vehicle, can play a vital role in helping police identify and apprehend those responsible.'
