Flood situation emerges as water levels rise in Nullah Dek

SIALKOT - Water levels in Nullah Dek continued to rise on Sunday, with irrigation authorities reporting a moderate flood as a substantial water flow passes through the channel. According to the Irrigation Department, around 16,000 cusecs of water is currently flowing through Nullah Dek. The watercourse has a total carrying capacity of 30,000 cusecs. The district administration has been placed on alert amid the developing flood situation and is closely monitoring water levels and the flow of the nullah. Residents living near Nullah Dek have been advised to avoid unnecessary movement around the watercourse and exercise caution as the situation develops. The Irrigation Department warned that the water flow could increase further if additional rainfall occurs in the area.
