SUKKUR - On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur Shakeel Ahmed Abro, Assistant Commissioner Shikarpur Dr Arifa Batool Rai and Deputy Director of the Sindh Food Control Authority Irum conducted an operation against food adulteration and violations of food safety standards. During the operation, the officials, accompanied by the technical team of the Sindh Food Control Authority, inspected milk shops, bakeries and hotels in different areas of Shikarpur to check the quality of food items and ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations, said a press release. During the inspections, several establishments were found violating prescribed cleanliness standards, using expired food items and selling products without clearly mentioning their expiry dates.
