Two Arrested In Lahore For Allegedly Torturing Widow, Cutting Her Hair

Police arrested the widow's sister-in-law and her husband after she alleged they assaulted her, threatened to kill her and tried to evict her and her three children during her iddat period. LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Nov, 2026) Police arrested two persons, including a woman for allegedly torturing a widow, cutting off her hair and threatening to kill her here on Monday. According to a spokesperson, the arrested suspects were identified as Nageena, the victim's sister-in-law, and her husband Khurram. She further alleged that the suspects cut her hair, threatened to kill her and attempted to evict her along with her three children during her iddat period. The victim contacted the police through Helpline 15, after which the Lower Mall police responded promptly and arrested the suspects. A case was also registered against them, the spokesperson added.
