FIA Stops 92 Sikh Passengers at Major Airport

Ninety-two Pakistani Sikh passengers were stopped from travelling at Faisalabad Airport after authorities found that they did not have the required travel documents and government-issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs). According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the passengers were planning to travel from Faisalabad to India via Sharjah. However, they were stopped after failing to produce return tickets and the NOCs required by the Pakistani government. The FIA said the passengers needed NOCs from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior before they could proceed with their journey.
