Volleyball Recap: Orlando Science Extends Winning Streak to Three

They came out on top against the Crooms Academy Panthers by a score of 3-1. Orlando Science had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 23-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-14. Despite the defeat, Crooms Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sara Rivera had 24 digs. Another player making a difference was Mya Faggard, who had 11 digs, seven kills, and two aces. Orlando Science's win brought them up to 3-0. As for Crooms Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orlando Science will head out to face off against Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crooms Academy, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Altamonte Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
