Hugh Hurley

Hugh K. Hurley, age 82 of Lebanon TN, passed away on September 6, 2026. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Scott Moore, is 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the service at 6 p.m. The Graveside Service, with military honors, is 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Wilson County Memorial. Kester 'Hugh' Hurley was born in Grundy County, Virginia, in 1944 to Alice Honaker Hurley and Samuel Hurley, Sr. Hugh served in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He attended Knoxville Business College and received his Associate in Business Science in 1973. During this time, he met and fell in love with Beverly Campbell. They married and set upon a life of family and service together. After his Army tours were complete, Hugh joined South Central Bell (BellSouth) Communications until his retirement as a supervisor after 30 years. He did contract work with the company after his retirement. Hugh and Beverly loved bowling together and were great competition in their league. He also enjoyed golf. Hugh is survived by the love of his life, his partner, and wife of 61 years, Beverly C. Hurley; children: Bruce (Leslie) Hurley and Kimberly H. White; grandchildren: Dustin W. White, Jake (Chelsie) Hurley, Tyler Hurley, Emily P. (Dylan) Lamon, Ashton Hurley, and Priestley (Jaycee) Campos; great-granddaughter: Emma Jane Lamon; brother: Samuel C. ' Junior' (Linda) Hurley; sister: Joyce Mcneal, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Alice and Samuel Hurley, brother Kent Dallas Hurley, and sisters Jean Duty and Carmalee Peters. Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, 615.444.9393.
