North Crowley makes big move in the HSFA Texas Top 25 high school football rankings – September 8, 2026

North Crowley is up ten spots to No. 4 in the latest High School Football America Texas Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Panthers moved to 2-0 with a solid 40-10 win over previous No. 3 Southlake Carroll, dropping the Dragons to No. 9 this week. Southlake Carroll will try to get back into the win column against No. 2 Allen this week. The Eagles pick-up an impressive 50-6 win over DeSoto. That loss drops the Eagles to 0-2 and from No. 4 to No. 7 this week in our rankings created with our proprietary algorithm. It's one of five Top 25 head-to-heads this week. Aside from the Allen/Soutlake Carroll battle, top-ranked North Shore also has a Top 25 head-to-head against No. 6 South Oak Cliff. The two reigning state champs will battle in the Cotton Bowl on Saturday. In another intra-Top 25 clash at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, No. 3 Duncanville will square-off with No. 7 DeSoto. The two are no longer in the same district or classification, but this one is still a big one. The fourth Top 25 head-to-head this week will be between No. 12 Waxahachie and No. 20 Denton Guyer.
