Hyderabad-based powerlifters Ajay Banerjee and S. Vanisha Rao have qualified to compete in the World Powerlifting Championships, to be held in Manchester, England, from September 10 to 14.
Ajay will compete in the Masters category while Vanisha will participate in the Teen-2 category.
The duo left for Manchester on Monday. Telangana State Powerlifting Association president Inturi Rekha, along with fellow athletes, wished them success while giving them a warm send-off.
