Govt Announces Monthly Allowance for MPhil-Equivalent Staff

The federal government has announced good news for government employees holding MPhil-equivalent degrees, approving a monthly allowance of Rs2,500. The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification confirming the decision. The allowance will also apply to government employees who hold degrees equivalent to an MPhil. According to the notification, the decision will take effect from July 17, 2026. The ministry said government employees with MPhil degrees are already receiving the Rs 2,500 monthly allowance, and the new order extends the same benefit to employees with equivalent qualifications.
