KP to outsource 500 low-performing Schools in first p hase

DLP Report PESHAWAR Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan was briefed on the government's plan to outsource low-performing government schools under Phase-I of the initiative. Managing Director of the Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF) Qaiser Alam briefed the minister on the proposed outsourcing programme, aimed at addressing low enrolment, improving the quality of education and ensuring better utilisation of existing school infrastructure. According to the briefing, 500 government schools will be outsourced in the first phase, while the overall target has been set at 2,000 schools. The meeting also discussed the 'Global Virtual School Initiative' in detail, with officials highlighting its potential role in improving access to education and strengthening the delivery of educational services. The initiative is part of the provincial government's broader efforts to improve the performance of government schools and provide quality education to students.
