Tallahassee police investigate after body found in retention pond area

The Tallahassee Police Department has launched a death investigation in the area of Capital Circle Northeast and Centerville Road. A TPD watch commander said police responded at about 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 about reports of a deceased person in a retention pond area. The watch commander told the Tallahassee Democrat it was too early to tell if there were indications of foul play or the manner of death. The case remains open and active.
