Happened Saturday night and early Sunday morning Guelph police are investigating after a downtown business was broken into twice over the weekend. Just before midnight Saturday police were called to a business on Quebec Street after the business' IT person observed someone on camera attempting to pry open a rear door. Officers attended quickly but the suspect had fled. Pry marks were observed around the locking mechanism and a small amount of cash was reported missing. On Sunday morning, staff advised the business was entered a second time at approximately 6:20 a.m. and a further theft was reported. The suspect was described as a white male, 5'10' with a medium build. He was wearing red shorts with white writing on the leg, black and white high-top sneakers and a dark long-sleeved shirt pulled up to conceal his face.
