Pakistani tech startup RLabs has won the GOAL Startup Award at the Silicon Valley November Summit, gaining international recognition as it prepares to enter the US market.
RLabs is led by Harris Ahmed, a graduate of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). The startup was incubated at Pakistan's National Incubation Centre for Aerospace Technologies (NICAT).
The Silicon Valley November Summit was held from November 2 to 5, 2026, and was organised by global innovation platform and venture capital firm Plug and Play.
RLabs was among 18 startups from around the world selected to pitch under Plug and Play's Global Overseas Acceleration & Learning (GOAL) program.
What Does RLabs Do?
RLabs develops technology involving extended-reality (XR) simulators, synthetic data and machine training.
Ahmed said the company has spent years using XR technology to train people to operate complex machinery. It is now applying the same experience to training artificial intelligence and machines.
According to NICAT, RLabs is also developing a proprietary large language model (LLM) to power a modular, cross-platform simulation engine.
NICAT claims the technology can reduce simulation development time by as much as 75%. The figure is a claim from the incubator and has not been independently verified.
RLabs Preparing to Launch in the US
Following the Silicon Valley recognition, Ahmed said RLabs is preparing to launch in the United States.
The move could give the Pakistani startup access to a larger market for simulation, artificial intelligence and machine-training technologies.
Ahmed said RLabs presented its technology before a gathering of more than 3,000 attendees, including startup founders, venture capital investors, corporate executives, innovation leaders and government representatives.
Government Praises RLabs
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja congratulated the startup on its achievement.
She described the award as a proud moment for Pakistan and said the recognition reflected the potential of Pakistani technology talent and the country's growing startup ecosystem.
