Trump blasts Canadian aircraft maker over access to US, says it should make its products in America

US President Donald Trump said Monday that aircraft made by Canadian company Bombardier should no longer be sold in the United States, accusing Canada of unfairly restricting American companies and demanding that the Canadian aerospace manufacturer make its products in the US if it wants access to the American market. 'NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES!' Trump said on his Truth Social platform, claiming that more than 50% of Bombardier's revenue comes from the US. Trump accused Canada of blocking US banks and companies from operating in the country and specifically cited Gulfstream Aerospace, saying Canada had prevented the company from doing business there and calling it "Completely unjust and unfair!" 'That Era is OVER! If they want our Market, they must build here,' Trump said, urging Americans to 'BUY AMERICAN' and 'FLY ON AMERICAN AIRLINERS.' After trade talks between Canada and the US collapsed last month, the US moved to impose 50% tariffs on key Canadian goods. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has vowed to respond with dollar-for-dollar retaliation beginning this Tuesday, raising the prospect of further escalation between the two longtime trading partners.
