Bandhan Bank Credit Cards: At a time when several banks are tightening credit-card rewards, lounge access and cashback limits, Bandhan Bank has entered the market with four new credit cards: Sparks, Ignite, Flare and Lumina. The cards have been launched in partnership with Mastercard and are aimed at different spending profiles, from everyday shoppers to premium travellers.
Bandhan Bank Credit Cards
Bandhan Bank is joining the credit card space while some older cards have started to pull back on rewards.
Starting April 1, the CASHBACK SBI Card cut its top cashback limit. It went from Rs 5,000 to Rs 4,000 per statement cycle. It also set two separate limits of Rs 2,000 each for online use and offline use. The SBI card list of items that do not earn cashback grew too. Government payments, tolls and digital gaming were added to the no-cashback set.

Several issuers have reduced cashback limits, added spending conditions for lounge access or introduced more exclusions. For example, the maximum cashback on the CASHBACK SBI Card was reduced from ₹5,000 to ₹4,000 per statement cycle, while HDFC Bank linked Regalia Gold's domestic lounge access to a quarterly spending requirement.
What Cardholders Should Check?
The headline rewards are just one piece of the overall math. When you decide on a Bandhan Bank credit card, look at the joining fee and the annual fee first. Then check how much each reward point is worth.
You should also scan for reward limits and the items that do not count. Pay attention to any mile requirement, and read the rules for lounge entry and what kind of spend is needed.
In short, a card that looks good on rewards helps only if the spend needed to use those perks matches how you actually spend.
