People often confuse optionality with hesitation. They see several open paths and assume a decision has been avoided. Sometimes that is true. Sometimes the open paths are the decision. An investor who holds liquidity can respond to new evidence. A business with more than one supplier can continue operating. A leader who preserves time can choose after uncertainty falls. The absence of commitment is not always weakness. It can be a deliberately owned position.
