Decisions taken to standardise exam system in Punjab boards

LAHORE - It has been decided to introduce important reforms to make the examination system more transparent and uniform in Punjab education boards. According to the details, the quality and difficulty level of examination papers will be kept uniform in all boards, and the subject-wise performance of students will also be regularly reviewed. Chairman CM Task Force Muzammil Mahmood said that a system of examiners' reports will be introduced to prepare reports based on the performance of students after the exams, which will enable a detailed analysis of the performance of students in each subject. Earlier, the difficulty ratio of examination papers of different education boards was not the same. To ensure transparency in the examination system, a proposal is also under consideration to set up examination centers in the halls of major government institutions, where strict monitoring arrangements will be made, he added. To improve the marking process of papers, facilities will be increased and the marking scheme will be reviewed. The remuneration system for paper checkers will also be the same in all educational boards, while an online remuneration payment system will be devised as soon as the marking is completed.
