Classes suspended in Baja California Sur due to rains

In the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, classes were suspended on Monday at all public and private educational institutions in the municipalities of La Paz, Los Cabos and Comondú due to a forecast of heavy rain, wind and risks associated with rising water levels in waterways and flooding. Shelters and restrictions The Los Cabos City Council has opened four temporary shelters: two in Cabo San Lucas and two in San José del Cabo. Restrictions on access to the sea remain in place on Los Cabos beaches, as well as on the stretch from El Comitán to El Caimancito in La Paz. Street food sales have also been suspended. In the La Ribera area, Los Cabos civil protection rescuers rescued 10 passengers from three vehicles over the weekend.
