A fire at a funeral home in Oshawa, Ont. Monday has been deemed suspicious, according to Durham police. Oshawa Fire Services asked the public to avoid the area between King Street and Mary Street in a post to social media platform X at 5:12 a.m. There are no injuries as a result of the fire, according to Kristie Jones from the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS). McIntosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home confirmed a fire in a statement posted to its website and said "steps are being taken to secure the property." "The situation is under control, and the safety and well-being of our families, staff, and community remain our highest priority," the statement read.
