The Legend of Zelda Live-Action Movie Takes Shape With Official Title & Release Date

The Legend of Zelda live-action movie has finally gotten its official title along with its release date. Directed by Wes Ball, the movie will be produced by Sony Pictures. The official X handle of Sony Pictures revealed that the live-action adaptation of the project is currently in production. While there was curiosity surrounding which game the movie will be based on, it was revealed in a livestream that the movie will not follow a particular adaptation of the Zelda game. Rather, the plot will feature an exclusive and original storyline while incorporating ideas and concepts from the Zelda series as a whole. Link must save the magical kingdom of Hyrule from a powerful villain, Ganon. Ganon is a warlord who wants to find the Triforce, an ancient and magical relic, to take control of Hyrule. The narrative of the film would follow Link, who will embark on a dangerous adventure to stop Ganon. The cast of the 2027 action-adventure features Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link, Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda, Uli Latukefu as Ganondorf, Dichen Lachman as Impa, and others. Apart from directing the film, Wes Ball is also producing the film alongside Avi Arad, Joe Hartwick Jr., and Shigeru Miyamoto. T.S. Nowlin is writing the screenplay for the movie.
