Iowa Football Depth Chart: Key Lineup Tweaks Week 2 vs ISU

Happy Monday might usually be an oxymoron, but today is a holiday and UI Athletics just gifted us the official depth chart for this week's in-state rivalry with little brother. Since we have last week's initial version to compare to, I will manage by exception and call out the deltas and key positions of interest between the two lineups. Quarterbacks We are sticking with the OR for at least one more week, as once again Hank Brown and Jeremy Hecklinski are listed as the potential starting quarterback. Running Backs With LJ Phillips leaving in the first quarter and later wearing a boot on his left foot, he no longer appears on the depth chart. Nathan McNeil and Xavier Williams are listed as OR behind Kamari Moulton. Tight Ends Thomas Meyer and Zach Ortwerth now appear as an "OR" as the backups (Zach was not listed on the depth chart last week). Special Teams – Punt Returns Evan James is now listed as the backup behind Reece Vander Zee. Zach Lutmer is no longer listed as a punt returner (just as the free safety on defense). Depth Chart Notes Positions listed with OR are ordered numerically. The starting defensive lineup will vary based on formation and personnel packages.
