Xinjiang Friendship and Exchange Conference with Distinguished International Guests kicks off in NW China's Xinjiang

On September 8, 2026, the Xinjiang Friendship and Exchange Conference with Distinguished International Guests kicked off in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Centered on the theme 'Xinjiang's Governance Experience and Its International Significance', the conference was accompanied by four parallel thematic exchange sessions. Representatives from two international organizations — the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the International Labour Organization — as well as government officials, business representatives, experts, scholars and journalists from 33 countries including Algeria, Australia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Nigeria, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States were invited to the conference.
