据The Athletic记者Jacob Tanswell消息，莱昂-格雷茨卡预计要到国际比赛日结束后才能代表阿斯顿维拉出场。埃梅里原本希望从一开始就将格雷茨卡纳入比赛名单，但这名31岁的中场由于没有参加季前备战，目前身体状态仍未达到比赛要求。
此外，格雷茨卡在恢复过程中又遭遇了一些状况，这进一步推迟了他的复出时间。因此，他在国际比赛日之前都无法代表阿斯顿维拉出战。
