Savings and financial discipline vital for economic progress:CM

LAHORE, Oct 31 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister(CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that the habit of saving was the foundation of a better and secure future. In her message on World Savings Day,she stressed that savings and financial discipline play a vital role in the economic development of nations. The CM said reducing unnecessary expenditures and making prudent use of available resources were essential for economic stability and prosperity. She said today's savings guaranteed tomorrow's prosperity and economic stability,adding that public awareness about savings and financial planning needed to be promoted. The CM said even small savings could become a major financial support in the future. She stressed the need to encourage women and young people to adopt savings habits and achieve financial independence. CM Maryam Nawaz said protecting national resources and promoting austerity could help strengthen the country's economy. She observed that saving was not merely about putting money aside but also reflected a responsible way of life.
