Multiple people were arrested or cited after hundreds of teenagers caused chaos in Center City Sunday night, Philadelphia police said. At least three people were arrested while others were cited after hundreds of teenagers caused chaos in Center City over the weekend, Philadelphia police said. The incident unfolded Sunday night near City Hall. Several videos were posted on social media showing police officers trying to control a large crowd of teenagers at Dilworth Park. 'It's dangerous you know,' Jimmy Freeman, a witness who recorded videos of the incident, told NBC10. 'What teens call fun, we may call dangerous and out of control because we are adults and we should show good stewardship. ' In one video, a person attacks another person just outside City Hall as officers run towards them. The video also shows police restraining at least one person on the ground as other officers try to keep other teens at bay. 'Some police were a little bit overwhelmed,' Freeman said. 'Some were probably out of control because so much was going on and it stressed out a lot of cops. 'In all, police said, seven people were cited while another person was arrested for disorderly conduct, another person was charged with robbery and a 17-year-old was arrested for having a firearm. Police have not yet revealed if they believe the incident was organized by one particular person or group. They also said more officers are patrolling Center City Monday night to prevent a similar incident from occurring again.
