Prince George has officially commenced his time at Eton College. The prince is following in his dad Prince William's footsteps. He looks just like his father did when he started at the same school 31 years ago. Prince George has kicked off his studies at Eton College. On September 8, the prince was pictured arriving at the prestigious college in Berkshire with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton—and George looked more grown-up and more like his dad than ever. The prince is quite literally following in his father's footsteps—and others in his royal lineage. Back in 1995, William marked the same milestone, arriving at Eton with his family. He wore a gray suit with a white shirt and a similar blue tie with an abstract print. Prince William's first day at Eton. Getty The family's decision to send George to Eton was reportedly inspired in part by the family link. George 'has always wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps,' a source told People recently. 'Eton was a much-needed haven for William,' added royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith. 'It will give George a rigorous education that he will need for his role.' Eton is also reportedly prepared for George's arrival, having already had practice with William and other royals, including Prince Harry and Prince Edward. Per Hello!, the school put up 'No Photography' signs ahead of George's first day 'to ensure the media and members of the public do not invade the privacy of pupils.' When William attended the school, the press and the royal family reportedly had a deal that only arranged shoots with William would be permitted 'if they left him alone the rest of the time.' Hello! noted that there 'could well be a similar setup for Prince George.'
