President issues stern warning to Afghan Taliban

President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday warned the "illegal and unrepresentative" Afghan Taliban regime that mistaking Pakistan's patience, caution, and responsible behavior for weakness would be a "grave folly," stressing that Pakistan possessed the full capacity to eliminate infiltrating terrorists and destroy their patrons. The president, in a statement, paid tribute to the security forces for successfully foiling an infiltration attempt by terrorists along the Pak-Afghan border in Kurram district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The president said the Afghan regime's continued patronage and facilitation of terrorist elements posed a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
