Sanford Health Corp. failed to convince a federal judge to toss a proposed class action alleging the Minnesota-based health system collected and disclosed patients' personal information in violation of state and federal laws.
Lead plaintiff Robert Hanson adequately pleaded claims under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Minnesota Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Judge Patrick J. Schiltz of the US District Court for the District of Minnesota said Sept. 4.
