IGP Sohail Visits Police Lines, Orders Better Living, Food Facilities For Personnel

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Sep, 2026) Inspector General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Captain (Retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry on Thursday visited Police Lines Headquarters and directed officers to improve living and food facilities for police personnel, saying their welfare would remain a top priority. An official told APP that the IGP Sohail inspected different branches, residential barracks, mess and other facilities at Police Lines and reviewed arrangements for personnel. During his visit to the residential barracks, Sohail Chaudhry met police personnel, listened to their problems and assured them that their issues would be addressed on a priority basis. He directed the concerned officers to further improve accommodation facilities for personnel and ensure that the food served to them was of good quality. Welfare of police personnel is among our top priorities, and their problems will be addressed in a timely manner,' the IGP said. He stressed that matters concerning police personnel should be dealt with on priority to provide them with a better working and living environment. The IGP Sohail also met Ghazi police personnel at Police Lines, inquired about their health and appreciated their services and sacrifices in the line of duty. Sohail also distributed gifts among the Ghazi personnel and assured them of continued support from Islamabad Police.
