Julie Jacobs Legacy Barn Dedication Held on Sunday

BARTON- On Sunday, a large gathering celebrated the official opening of the newly constructed horse barn at the Orleans County Fairground. The 60 stall stable replaces two ancient stables that were slowly deteriorating. Kimball Johnson was the speaker at the event, which included a ribbon cutting ceremony and a memorial granite bench dedicated to Julie Jacobs of Derby, now deceased. Jacobs, a horse lover with a stable in Derby, was a longtime member of the fairgrounds committee, organizing the equestrian events during fair week.
