A Nottinghamshire village community is in shock after a murder investigation was launched on their doorstep after a woman's death.
The woman, who was in her 50s, was found dead at an address in James Close, Ollerton, shortly before 8pm on Sunday, September 6.
A murder investigation has been launched into her death, leaving residents shocked.
Jessica, 26, lives nearby to James Close and told the Nottingham Post: 'It's a bit of a shock when it's just down your road.
'You just would not expect it.'
A 60-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.
There is still a cordon at the address, with many police vehicles, including a crime scene investigation van, in attendance.

Another Ollerton resident, called Jack, said: 'Nothing ever happens round Ollerton, especially a murder, it's a bit strange.'
Nottinghamshire Police said the victim's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
James Close is in a residential area of the town, near to a corner shop and is just a 10-minute walk from the local primary school.
Resident Jack, who is 20, added: ''All the people [there] have lived there [James Close] for years, you never hear of anything happening there.
Investigations are ongoing into the woman's death, police calling on anyone with information to contact them.
Detective Inspector Stuart Barson, of the Major Crime team at East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU), said: "First and foremost, our thoughts today are with the victim's family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her.
"We are currently working to establish how and when she died and are asking anyone who has seen or heard anything suspicious to contact us without delay.
"Even the smallest piece of information may prove vital to this investigation."
