The inaugural Night and Day X Hideaway Sessions at Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway is set to bring Damien Dempsey, Sexy Tadgh, Aine Tyrell, Emma Langford and many more to the one day festival on 19 September. The festival is the first-ever Night and Day satellite event, building on the success of their five major festivals in Co. Roscommon. Night and Day initially took place in Clonalis House in Castlerea in 2022 before moving to Lough Key Forest Park in 2023 where it has run annually ever since. Co-founder of Night and Day Craig Hughes said: 'We're really excited to be bringing a piece of Night and Day to Co. Leitrim for our first ever satellite event in the spectacular Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway. Sexy Tadgh 'The setting is perfect place to turn into a musical playground with some of the country's most exciting artists. We're delighted to be kicking off what we hope will be a lengthy collaboration with events in Drumhierny. 'We started working with the great team at Drumhierny earlier this year when they were one of our sponsors and we've built a great relationship with them that we hope will lead to many more Night and Day satellite events. 'Anyone who has been to Drumhierny will know just how amazing a setting it is, and those of you who haven't are in for a real treat. 'It's great to be bringing Damien Dempsey back to the Night and Day stage after his euphoric performance in 2024. Damien is one of the country's most authentic singers and we're fortunate to be able to bring him to Co. Leitrim ahead of his performance at Slane Castle next year where he will be supporting Fontaines DC. 'I'll never forget his headline performance at Night and Day in 2024. The tent was full with a worshiping crowd singing along to every line, it was one of the special moments we've had since we started on this journey. 'We founded Night and Day to bring more live music to the west of Ireland while also supporting artists in the region. We've collaborated with Music Generation in Roscommon to ensure that the new generation of rock stars have a stage to play on every year and showcase some of the best local talent to a national audience. 'We've also worked with local music collectives, such as the Carolan Collective, who showcase the works of legendary composer Turlough O'Carolan, and local DJ collective Runaway Club who really get the party going with their electronic tunes,' he said. Damien Dempsey 'The Hideaway Sessions are going to be a real treat for music lovers. Outside of the headline artists we know that people are going to leave Drumhierny on 19 September with some new favourite artists they've discovered,' he said. More than 10,000 people attended Night and Day in Lough Key Forest Park in May, the biggest event yet, with around 1,000 people expected to attend the satellite event in Drumhierny. Gates open at 2pm, with tickets €70 for the adult only event. Local act Fairgreen will kick off the outdoor Sheemore stage at 2:30pm, which will also feature performances from The Vibes, Áine Tyrell, Sexy Tadgh and Damien Dempsey. The Barn Stage will include performances from Emma Langford and Kit James, who have both previously wowed audiences at Night and Day, and will be closed by Cedar Dobson. Elite Energies are kindly sponsoring the Carolan Collective to play in the Cedaroo which will host wellness sessions in the morning before being transformed into a traditional music and folk oasis in the evening.from 4pm.
