Frances P. Preece Obituary

Frances P. Preece 1926—2026 Frances P. Preece, 99, formerly of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away peacefully Sept. 5, 2026. She was a resident at the Martin County Nursing Home in Inez, Kentucky. Born Nov. 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ella Parsley and one of seven siblings. Frances retired from the Mingo County School District and was a cherished member of the Kermit United Methodist Church. She loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Francis is preceded in death by her daughter Rella Preece, two brothers, three sisters and her longtime friend E.P. 'Biss' Stepp. Survivors include her son, Boyce 'Bub' Preece II, and two grandchildren, Ryan Preece of Lexington, Kentucky, and Rebecca Preece of Richmond, Kentucky. She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Witt of Virginia, and her longtime friend, Gail Ruble of Kermit. Friends may visit at the Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. A special service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Ronnie Pinson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
