Today, we shall be taking stock of our interim progress in implementing technology policy. The President has identified the achievement of leadership in key industrial sectors as one of our overarching national goals. In the face of unprecedented sanctions, it is imperative that we rely primarily on domestically developed solutions across all critical domains. This approach provides a solid foundation for Russia's long-term development, enhances our global competitiveness and, most importantly, drives sustained improvements in the living standards of our citizens. To advance our goals of strengthening sovereignty in strategically vital areas, we have launched and are now delivering nine broad national projects, spanning all sectors of paramount importance, including new advanced materials and chemistry, production and automation equipment, shipbuilding, civilian unmanned aerial systems, and nuclear energy. Across all these fields, we are systematically raising our level of technological independence. In a number of key sectors – aviation, railway engineering, fuel and energy, and food security – this work is proceeding at an accelerated pace. To ensure end-to-end planning across the entire lifecycle of new products, from initial development through to final market delivery, we have adopted a dedicated methodology and a suite of specialised tools, developed under the federal law on technology policy, which was enacted almost two years ago. In this context, so‑called technological cooperation maps play a particularly pivotal role. At present, they encompass approximately 1,000 high-tech product categories and over 1,500 individual technologies. Thanks to these instruments, we have already brought more than 170 distinct solutions into production. They range from materials and components – including control and monitoring systems, drone engines, carbon-fibre structural panels, and composite membranes – to pharmaceuticals and much more. In a relatively short space of time, we have also created or modernised production capacity at over 80 enterprises engaged in fulfilling our most critical orders. To cite just a few examples, we have upgraded workshops producing spacecraft, LNG tankers, wellhead equipment, and vascular prostheses. The list, of course, goes on. As a result, our industrial potential is growing apace. Projects are coming to fruition: the maiden flights of the wholly Russian-built Superjets and the flagship MC-21 airliners; the successful launch of the Soyuz-5 launch vehicle, powered by the world's most potent liquid-fuel engine; the development of a unique agricultural machine for harvesting grain from research and breeding plots; and the commissioning of a new power unit at the nuclear plant under construction in the Kursk Region. To enhance the effectiveness of the measures we have taken, we must, of course, make the most of our research teams' capabilities and continue to build the necessary infrastructure for applied experimental research and testing. To date, we have established 11 engineering development centres in the field of chemistry and eight in industrial robotics. A network of 30 research and production sites has been deployed for the development of unmanned systems. Many regional universities are also playing an active part in the development of breakthrough technologies – notably in the Orel, Rostov, Orenburg, Samara, and Omsk regions. This is a clear sign of the strong engagement of our young scientists, talented individuals in addressing the current challenges facing sectors of the domestic economy. Colleagues, It is vital that the latest Russian innovations and developments not only find broad application at home, but also enjoy growing demand abroad. To that end, our domestic brands must become recognisable, conveying quality and reliability to international markets. I propose that we now turn our attention to a detailed examination of the current challenges and future development trajectories in the technology sector, and that we work together to devise improvements to our existing measures and mechanisms.
