IM Kaustuv Kundu Wins Jashpur All India Open Classical Rating 2026

International Master Kaustuv Kundu scored an unbeaten 7.5/8 points to win the Jashpur All India Open FIDE-rated Chess Tournament 2026. Yashad Bambeshwar scored 7 points to secure 2nd place. Seven players scored 6.5/8 points to secure 3rd to 9th positions according to tie-break scores; Omkar Kadav had the best tie-breaks to secure 3rd place. The tournament was organised from 29th August to 1st September at Community Hall, Jashpur, Chhattisgarh. In the last round, he drew against Candidate Master Vinod Kumar Sharma of Chhattisgarh on the top board. On the 2nd board, Yashad Bambeshwar defeated Tanishk Kumar to secure 2nd place.
