The company's SATA preferred shares have also returned to their $100 par value, potentially reopening another funding channel for additional Bitcoin accumulation
.
Strive has signaled that another Bitcoin purchase may be approaching after Chairman and CEO Matt Cole shared the company's Bitcoin tracker on X with the message, 'Wall-breaking season at Strive.' The post did not confirm a new transaction, but similar updates have preceded previous treasury announcements.
The signal comes shortly after Strive acquired 1,800 BTC for approximately $143 million between Aug. 24 and Aug. 28. According to its latest SEC filing, the company paid an average of $79,431 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses. The purchase increased its holdings from 21,356 BTC to 23,156 BTC.
The acquisition moved Strive into fifth place among publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders, ahead of Bullish. Its treasury is now worth roughly $1.8 billion at recent Bitcoin prices, giving ASST shareholders significant exposure to changes in the value of the underlying asset.
Strive Bitcoin Strategy Gains Momentum
The latest purchase followed another acquisition of 1,110 BTC for about $81.5 million the previous week. Across those two transactions, Strive added 2,910 BTC for roughly $224.5 million, reinforcing its strategy of steadily increasing its Bitcoin reserves.
Cole has also previously said Strive could potentially acquire more than 20,000 additional BTC and challenge for second place among corporate Bitcoin holders. That ambition would require continued financing and purchases, but the company has already accelerated its accumulation pace during 2026.
The stock market has responded strongly. ASST recently traded above $27, reaching its highest level of the year. The shares have gained more than 78% since January and nearly 120% over the past month, according to the supplied market data. The performance reflects growing investor attention toward companies that use Bitcoin as a central treasury asset.
SATA Opens Another Funding Channel
Strive's preferred security, SATA, adds another potential source of capital. The security recently returned to around its $100 par value, allowing its at-the-market issuance program to become more practical. BitcoinTreasuries.net estimated that SATA trading had generated potential funding equivalent to about 1,192 BTC during one week in August, although that figure represented estimated purchasing capacity rather than a confirmed acquisition.
Strive has expanded its ATM capacity to billions of dollars across ASST and SATA. However, additional issuance can increase dilution for common shareholders, while SATA carries preferred dividend obligations.
