CHA criticizes the withdrawal of the school bus in Sobrarbe

Chunta Aragonesista is going to register in the Cortes of Aragón a series of questions to demand explanations for the decision of the PP-Vox Government to "leave without school transport" the students of Sarratiás and Castejón de Sobrarbe. The municipal spokesperson in Aínsa-Sobrarbe and regional councilor, Agustín Muñoz, has recalled that "for the first time in 34 years this school route is being eliminated, an elimination that even from the Department of Education, Science and Universities of the Government of Aragón they have not deemed it worthy to notify the families". Muñoz has criticized that "from the rural world it is outrageous that we have to endure a Government whose priority is to fund private high school with public money, while on the other hand they are cutting educational resources in our towns, denying basic rights such as school transport". In this sense, the representative of CHA has questioned: "What freedom of choice of center is the PP and VOX talking about, when in our region there is only one public secondary school in Aínsa, to which students from other towns have to travel daily, as is the case of students from Sarratiás and Castejón de Sobrarbe?". Likewise, he has insisted that "we want to raise our voice against the numerous needs that the Government of Aragón does not address in our educational centers, both in the CEIP 'Asunción Pañart' and in the IES 'Sobrarbe', citing the "absence of air conditioning units, insufficient staff in the secretary's office, cleaning staff, teachers, the need to renew computer equipment, materials in the laboratories, leaks, and even in the case of the Adult School, the absence of spaces that we have compensated for by providing municipal spaces, a complete folly on the part of the Government of Aragón," Muñoz concluded.
