LAS VEGAS — T-Mobile Arena and Paramount+ have announced a new multi-year partnership that will rename the Las Vegas venue's iconic two-acre outdoor entertainment space Paramount+ Plaza. Brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, the agreement names Paramount+ an Official Partner and T-Mobile Arena's Exclusive Streaming Partner, creating a prominent new platform for the streaming service to connect its original series, films, live sports and iconic franchises with millions of fans visiting Las Vegas each year. The newly branded Paramount+ Plaza will serve as a year-round destination for programming, experiential activations and fan engagement surrounding major sports and entertainment events at T-Mobile Arena. Paramount+ Plaza Debuts During Garcia vs. Benn Fight Week The new Paramount+ Plaza will officially debut during Zuffa Boxing's Garcia vs. Benn fight week at T-Mobile Arena. On Friday, September 11, the plaza will host the event's ceremonial weigh-in, which will be open to the public and give fans their first opportunity to experience the newly branded outdoor space. The partnership will continue throughout fight week with a new Paramount+ customer lounge known as The Cube. The immersive activation will be inspired by the hit Paramount+ series MobLand, giving fans an opportunity to interact with the streaming brand beyond its traditional screen experience. On Saturday, September 12, Paramount+ Plaza's large outdoor screens will showcase Noche UFC, which will stream live on Paramount+ from Glendale, Arizona. Fans will be able to watch the live UFC action in the plaza before the doors open for Garcia vs. Benn at T-Mobile Arena. The Garcia vs. Benn fight will also stream live globally on Paramount+, excluding the United Kingdom and Ireland, at no additional cost to subscribers. T-Mobile Arena Becomes Paramount+'s Exclusive Streaming Partner The agreement gives Paramount+ a highly visible presence at one of Las Vegas' premier sports and entertainment venues. The open-air plaza is a major gathering point for fans before, during and after events, providing Paramount+ with opportunities to bring its programming and storytelling directly to audiences through live experiences and activations. 'Paramount+ is home to some of the most compelling stories, franchises and live sports in entertainment, and this partnership gives us an exciting new way to bring that content beyond the screen and directly to fans,' said Domenic Di Meglio, Chief Marketing Officer & Data Officer for Paramount+. 'Paramount+ Plaza will give us a dynamic, year-round presence in the heart of Las Vegas where we can create memorable experiences around our programming and connect with audiences as they come together for some of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment.' Paramount+ Partnership Builds on UFC Connection The partnership also strengthens an existing connection between Paramount+ and T-Mobile Arena through the UFC. Paramount+ serves as the UFC's exclusive streaming partner in the United States, while T-Mobile Arena has long served as the UFC's home venue in Las Vegas. 'Paramount+ sits at the intersection of premium entertainment, live sports and culture, making this partnership an incredibly natural fit for T-Mobile Arena and Las Vegas,' said Sally Bae, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships for AEG in Las Vegas. 'Paramount+ Plaza gives the brand something truly distinctive – a highly visible, year-round platform where it can showcase its incredible breadth of content while engaging millions of fans around the moments and experiences, they are most passionate about. We're excited to welcome Paramount+ to the venue and create a platform that can continue to evolve alongside its programming for years to come.' T-Mobile Arena's Plaza Has Hosted Major Las Vegas Celebrations Since opening in April 2016, T-Mobile Arena has become one of Las Vegas' premier destinations for sports and live entertainment. The venue hosts more than 100 events and welcomes more than 1 million visitors annually, including Vegas Golden Knights games, UFC championship events, major concerts and special events. The two-acre outdoor plaza has also played host to some of the city's most memorable celebrations, including the Vegas Golden Knights' Stanley Cup victory parade, Las Vegas Aces' WNBA championship rallies and the official Bruno Mars Day celebration. With the new Paramount+ partnership, the space will now become a permanent platform for live entertainment experiences connected to Paramount+ programming. MGM Resorts Welcomes Paramount+ Plaza Dan Quinn, MGM Resorts' Senior Vice President of Entertainment, Arena & Venue Operations, said the partnership represents a new chapter for one of the venue's most prominent gathering spaces. 'Paramount+ Plaza represents an exciting next chapter for one of the most visible and important entertainment gathering spaces on the Las Vegas Strip,' Quinn said. 'The plaza has been an integral part of the T-Mobile Arena experience for the last 10 years and this partnership creates new opportunities to deliver even more energy and entertainment to the millions of visitors who visit the destination each year.' The launch of Paramount+ Plaza comes as Las Vegas prepares for another major combat sports weekend, with Garcia vs. Benn taking over T-Mobile Arena on September 12 and Paramount+ bringing live UFC action to the plaza earlier that afternoon.
