Citizens' Assembly: an exclusive glimpse into a rare form of democracy

A citizens' assembly organised by the Home Affairs Select Committee has been held to discuss the issues around legal migration. Today, they delivered their verdict: put British workers first but treat migrants with dignity and respect. Randomly selected members of the public gathered in three UK locations to deliberate on legal migration policy. We were given exclusive access to Leicester to witness the process.
