Despite their interest, City are currently satisfied with their attacking options following the arrivals of Iliman Ndiaye from Everton and Allan Elias from Palmeiras. They believe they are well stocked in forward areas, meaning a winter move for Baena is unlikely unless circumstances change significantly over the coming months. Baena has attracted attention from elsewhere in the Premier League, with both Newcastle United and Aston Villa also linked with the versatile attacker, who is capable of playing across the front line but is most comfortable on the left wing. His contract with Altetico runs until 2030.
