The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) has disclosed that the Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD) will tomorrow, September 8, 2026, release the 2025 global Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) results in Paris, France. ECZ Director for Research and Planning Shadrick Nkoya says PISA is the world's largest international comparative survey of 15‑year‑old students, assessing the extent to which they have acquired key knowledge and skills essential for full participation in social and economic life. Dr Nkoya was speaking during the media engagement in Lusaka today. 'While Zambia previously engaged in a pilot phase like 'PISA for Development', the PISA 2025 cycle is the first time the country's broader student performance will be benchmarked on the full global scale,' Dr Nkoya stated. Dr Nkoya stated that the event marks a major milestone for Zambia, which is participating as a new entrant in the main global assessment alongside other countries. Loading read count...
