UE basketball player killed in overnight crash

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The University of Evansville is mourning the loss of a student athlete. Sophomore Jordan Scott transferred to UE after playing basketball last season at Wabash Valley College. Wabash Valley shared the news Monday on social media. Officials tell us she had taken a friend home late Sunday night and was in an unfamiliar area when she hit a pole near Boonville. Jordan graduated in 2025 from Castle. We've reached out to the Warrick County Sheriff to learn more about the crash. Officials with the University of Evansville confirm the loss of a student athlete. They say a press release will go out Monday afternoon.
