La Compagnie to launch all J class DUS-EWR flight

Yes this all-business class flight will not launch until April 2027 but France's La Compagnie will deploy an Airbus A321LR between Dusseldorf and New York Newark. The narrow-body A321 will be configured with 76 business class seats only. It's unclear how Lufthansa will react. I say that because Lufthansa's current policy is to operate long-haul from its twin hubs at Frankfurt and Munich. So a business person based in Dusseldorf wanting to take Lufthansa to New York must either take a connecting domestic flight to Frankfurt or use Deutsche Bahn's ICE train.
